Welcome to SyTEC
The State System Technology Consortium (SyTEC) is a consortium of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher
Education created by action of the Board of Governors at a public meeting held March 22, 2001, as per
its authority to create consortia under Act 188 of 1982, 24 P.S. 20-2001A, et seq. and operates at the
direction of the Board of Governors and the Chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
SyTEC was established to facilitate continuity among Pennsylvania's fourteen state universities in all
common areas of technology. Consolidating efforts across the network and eliminating redundancy is an
ongoing effort, requiring constant communication with each of the universities. The needed interaction
among the universities is facilitated with the help of the very same technical tools SyTEC provides including
email, data collection and reporting, phone and video conferencing.
Although SyTEC is a highly technical website, we believe you will find the environment friendly and easy
to use. We are sensitive to the fact that most of our visitors are not familiar with many of the technologies
used at SyTEC. As an aid to finding what you need, we offer explanations of these technologies along with
tips for how to use the website. Starting your tour with a visit to our
site map
will provide you with tools that will help you navigate quickly through the information maze. Please keep
in mind that no matter where you are, you can click on the PASSHE logo and return to the familiarity of
the
PASSHE website.
We hope you find your visit enjoyable. Welcome to SyTEC.
